"When God called my wife, Trudi, and me to plant Saint Patrick's Church, He gave us a vision for a church that expresses the faith and life of the ancient Church, is relentless about forming radical disciples of Jesus, and raises up and sends church planters and missionaries to the ends of the earth." -- Fr. Pete
Peter has been married to his wife, Trudi, for 35 years. He has been in vocational ministry for 42 years.
After ten years of ministry in Ames, Iowa, Peter, Trudi and their children moved to Kentucky so he could attend Asbury Theological Seminary. While in school, Peter worked at the Episcopal Church of the Apostles. His time at the Church of the Apostles solidified a sense of call to the Anglican tradition that he had been wrestling with since college.
After graduating from seminary with a Masters of Divinity in the summer 2003, Peter and Trudi, together with a team of 15 adults, launched Saint Patrick’s Church where has been the rector ever since. Peter is also the Canon for Church Revitalization and an Archdeacon in the Anglican Diocese of the Great Lakes.
Peter and Trudi have four adult children: Dylan who is married to Nora, Rees who is married to Kailee, Ainsley, and Shelby. Peter loves music (especially The Beatles), plays guitar, and loves movies and books.
His favorite quote is: "He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose." (Jim Elliot)
