At Saint Patrick’s, we believe parents are called to raise their children to be fully devoted disciples of Jesus Christ. We also believe children can meet with God through scripture, song, dance, prayer, and play. To create sacred space where children can worship God and support parents, we offer children's ministry.
The nursery is open throughout the whole service for babies and toddlers. Parents typically drop off their children at the nursery prior to worship and then pick them up after the service is finished.
Children who are preschool age and older come to worship with their families in the main sanctuary. After the opening prayer and song, the children are dismissed for Children’s Church and Encounter. The pastor invites all of the children and their teachers to come to the front of the church for a prayer. After the prayer, the pastor dismisses the kids for Children’s Church and Encounter, and the teachers walk with them to their rooms.
Parents are welcome to go along and help guide their children if they so desire. The children return to the worship service between the preaching and Holy Communion. If you prefer your children to stay in the service with you, they are more than welcome to do so.
We want to provide space for young children to experience the stories and love of Jesus Christ. To this end, we have a nursery and toddler care program for children ages 0 to 3 years old.
Children's Church creates a sacred space in which children in preschool and early elementary school can meet God through age-appropriate, guided worship.
Encounter invites children in third through fifth grade to deepen their walk as disciples of Jesus Christ through study of the Bible, hands-on activities, and prayer time.
