The 4 Practices

For a mission to be more than a slogan, there must be a mission measure: a way to know we are achieving the goal in front of us.

Our mission measure is The 4 Practices of WORSHIP, COMMUNITY, FORMATION AND MISSION.

Baptism and Conversion are the doorway to Christian discipleship. Once we we enter the door, God helps us to grow us into fully mature disciples of Jesus.   St. Paul captures this goal when he writes in Colossians 1:28, “Him we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ.”

God wants to grow us into new kind of people. That new life is embodied in The 4 Practices that give shape to Christian discipleship; shape to new life in Christ.

Within each of The 4 Practices, there are two key activities. While there is more to each practice than these two things, these are included because they help us make sure we are regularly and consisitently doing The 4 Practices. They are also essential activities that help each of us grow as a disciple of Jesus.

We build everything we do in our parish around The 4 Practices aiming to equip everyone at Saint Patrick's to be fully mature disciples of Jesus.
