DISCIPLES: Why We Exist

To live into our vision - a people on mission - we are about one central thing:

DISCIPLES ... NOTHING MORE; NOTHING LESS.

That's it. One central thing.

Why?

Because of Jesus's words in Matthew 28:18-20,

And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18-20, ESV)

Jesus didn't only come to give us eternal life in the future; he came to give us new lives now. Transformation is at the heart of what being a Christian is and this transformation occurs as we become and grow as disciples - students, apprentices, followers - of Jesus Christ.

We these things in mind, the reason our parish exists is to:

MAKING DISCIPLES THROUGH WORSHIP, COMMUNITY, FORMATION AND MISSION.
