The Very Rev. Peter Matthews, Rector/Pastor
Peter has been married to his wife Trudi for 30 years. He has been in vocational ministry for 32 years.
After ten years of ministry in Ames, Iowa, Peter, Trudi and their children moved to Kentucky so he could attend Asbury Theolgical Seminary. While in school, Peter worked at the Episcopal Church of the Apostles. His time at Church of the Apostles solidified a sense of call to the Anglican tradition that he had been wrestling with since college. After graduating from seminary with a Masters of Divinity in the summer 2003, Peter and Trudi, together with a team of 15 adults, launched Saint Patrick’s Church.
Peter is also the Dean of the Kentucky Deanery of the Anglican Diocese of the Great Lakes.
Peter and Trudi have four children: Dylan (26), Rees (22), Ainsley (17) and Shelby (15). Peter loves music (especially The Beatles), plays guitar, loves movies and books. His favorite quote is:
He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose. (Jim Elliot)
The Rev. Andee Marks, Pastor of Ministry Development
Andee has served in and through the church for 30 years. She has served in both large and small churches and in parachurch organizations, as a volunteer minister and as a member of church staff. She came to Saint Patrick’s in 1997, joined the staff in 1999, and was ordained to the vocational diaconate in 2013. Andee has a deep passion for helping others discover their unique, God-given design for ministry and encouraging them to live into it in every arena of their life!
David and Andee have been married for 40 years. They have three adult children—all married—and eight delightful grandchildren! Andee is an avid quilter, loves to smock, read, and spend time with family and friends. Her favorite quote?
I slept and dreamt that life was joy. I awoke and saw that life was service. I acted and behold, service was joy. (Tagore)
